Call for strike

Manifestation and rally – towards the women*’s strike 2020!

8th of March, Moritzplatz 2 – 5 pm.

On 8th of March: Towards a feminist strike!
We no longer want to (only) cook, wash and clean up. We no longer want to get paid less for the same work. We are on strike! Unpaid and underpaid work should be socially recognized. We demand a fundamental social change so that none of us is exploited and oppressed! Our goal is a more just social order. On the 8th of March we make our strike visible with a demonstration – loud, wild and wonderful!

8th of March is every day!

On 8th of March 2020 we will take to the streets – this is only one of many ways to make the women*’s strike visible. Women* strike in their own ways – we strike mainly in the household. We won’t do all the unpaid and not valued care work and emotional work. Unpaid work in the household is the basis of our economy, so when we go on strike the world will stand still. 8th of March is every day!
Our actions are diverse, we want to support each other to extend the strike! Talk to your colleagues, friends, neighbours, mothers, grandmothers, aunts and sisters! Get active together! Gather together, get to know each other, listen to each other! Let us form strike committees in all places!

Women*’s strike for everyone! Together towards a more just society!
Work must be distributed evenly and paid equally, women* must not be discriminated against any more and gender roles must be broken up. This is the condition for a society without sexist oppression, exploitation and violence. A fundamental social change only works anti-racist, anti-capitalist and queer and on the other hand there is no future without feminism. Therefore we take to the streets together – intersectionally for a gender just society!
We call on all women*, inter-, trans-, non-binary and queer people to raise their voices and express their own demands. We want a fundamental social change towards a society in which we are not oppressed or exploited anymore, we stand together and don’t let ourselves be divided!
